When you think about it, Freddy Kruger is as real as you believe he is. When he kills people, he kills them in their dreams, which supposedly kills them in real life. And it is said that if you die in a dream, you very well could die in real life. It either comes from a heart attack or your brain is tricked into believing you are dead... So I pick Freddy.

WHY IS JIGSAW NOT ON HERE??!!! It's an interesting query regarding the Saw franchise. But as I see it... Jigsaw placed his subjects that are "not appreciating their blessings" (or in other words, not cherishing the lives they were given) so people who are for example: Drug addicts, killers, fraudulent police officials (or any business for that matter), abusers etc. are placed in those traps to teach them what they were doing that's wrong with a way to break the cycle or change their ways. (Although Jigsaw created the traps with the intention that all subjects can win, Amanda and Hoffman who are both as apprentices to jigsaw, rigged these traps to make them either unbeatable or requiring someone else to die for the other to live. Making them more of the villans than Jigsaw). So as much as his work places him as the villan in one perspective, he's also trying to help people as well (Perhaps not in the way most people expect him to). But in all honesty, you might know all of this already so I could be reduntantly stating the obvious.

But in all honesty, you might know all of this already so I could be reduntantly stating the obvious. but can we count Amanda and Hoffman as serial killers? because they both made traps that were inescapable. Both can be counted as serial killers to some extent, but their motives are different. Of what I know for Amanda, she was abused as a child by her father (Locked under the stairs for hours on end). When she reached her adult years, she turned to self-harm/drugs just to deal with stress (which was the reason she was tested for the Reverse Bear Trap. As she survived the trap, she turned to jigsaw. In her words she refers to him by the quote "I found myself a father, a leader, a teacher".) As of this, she was pushed under pressure/guilt of seeing herself as a killer from the traps she made (Also feeling guilt for the victims she kills/killed. One instance is when she suffocated Adam with a plastic bag in the Bathroom out of remorse as an act of mercy killing). Hoffman however, First killed Seth Baxter (The man responsible for killing his sister who was released early on a technicality), was killed by a trap he made to replicate Jigsaw's ways. This lead to Jigsaw kidnapping Hoffman and offering Hoffman a second chance, making him the first to be his apprentice (second being Amanda). As the tests went on, Hoffman was informed that he "would not walk away untested", leading up to Hoffman being placed in the Reverse Bear Trap 2.0 as part of John Kramer/Jigsaw's will to have him as the sixth man to be tested. Hoffman eventually betrayed Jigsaw by killing Jill (John/Jigsaw's wife) in revenge for placing him in the Reverse Bear Trap (which finally presented how it works for the first time in all 7 movies). In conclusion of this, both Amanda and Hoffman may hold some qualities for being serial killers, but Hoffman takes the more darker role for a serial Killer than Amanda. But I can be incorrect on some degree, so I might be wrong on some points. All information regarding both Amanda and Hoffman can be found on the Saw Movies Wikia page, the link to it is below. sawfilms.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page
