is the shut down a fake?

It's hard for me to fully determine that this is either true or false, but so far I can only point out a few factors that make me have minor disagreement with patrick130.

1) The website being "hacked" - If the studio was in fact hacked, then the outcome would not even remotely be to shutdown the website at all (depending on the type of hacker). Try placing yourself in the "hacker's" perspective, if one were to gain access to the website, why shut it down when that hacker can modify it without the original site owners consent and therefore steal information from users and simultaneously ban innocent users for poor reasons or in some cases; absolutely no reason whatsoever?

2) Go!animate support/Email notification - After users posted to the support team in an attempt to prevent the shutdown from occurring, every result came out the same; A response stating that the site is not fulfilling its purposes any more (plus, in regards to today’s security standards, it wasn’t even encrypted which would’ve made it even more of a security risk on GA’s part to keep it running). Even with one of the admins detailing this, it's still evidence to claim that this shut down is no anonymous trolling attempt.

However, There is only one factor of evidence that only makes me mildly able to agree with patrick130 as of when the email alerts were sent to all of us.

If the website was meant to be shut down for the reason of the incapability to remain alive with making no profit (and scheduled closing to be on 15/09/2014), why was everyone sent an email about it 1-2 days AFTER the update was published? Most social network/video hosting websites would normally alert via email on the exact day that the warning was made public.


But please keep in mind not to take my theory seriously as patrick130 will have to present more evidence in order for anyone (including myself) to confirm that he is saying the truth.

I don't see why they'd fake A shutdown if someone hacked it. I mean- hackers would rather hack an account to make someone specific extremely miserable instead. They can even do it with more than one account. That's be much more effective than a shutdown in my opinion. I just think Go!Animate sees domo as a nest for trolls and children. They are trying to act more "professional" and they see that there are only about 100 people who actually use da now as well. And let's be real; if you wanted to be professional, I think you'd want a live action advertisement rather than an animated one. Or at least have a professional animation team do your professional ad. Just my thoughts.
